Director working through the figures for a deed of company arrangement
DOCA & insolvency finance

DOCA and insolvency finance. Fund the deed, bring the business back.

If your company is in administration or a restructuring plan, we can fund the contribution that gets it out, secured against property, before the creditors’ deadline.

What DOCA and insolvency finance is

When a company enters voluntary administration, a deed of company arrangement (DOCA) or a small business restructuring plan is often the way to keep it alive. Both need a lump sum paid to creditors by a set date, and a company in administration cannot borrow it from a bank.

We fund that contribution with a loan secured by a first or second mortgage over property, usually property the directors own. Interest is added to the loan so the business is not carrying a repayment while it recovers, and the loan is repaid from trading, a refinance or a sale once the deed is complete and the company is trading normally again.

We lend Australia-wide, with most of our loans secured in metropolitan New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.

When DOCA finance fits

A DOCA has been proposed

Creditors have voted, the contribution is set, and the deadline is fixed.

A small business restructuring plan

The plan needs an upfront payment the business cannot fund from cash flow.

Directors own property

There is equity in property that can secure the loan while the company is not bankable.

How We Compare To The Bank

We are not a replacement for your bank. We are the lender you use when the bank’s timeframe or template does not fit the situation, and the loan is written to hand you back to the bank when it does. Rates are indicative and subject to valuation, due diligence and formal approval.
